Eric and Karen joined the monthly Motoring Society lunch crowd with a visit to The Piston Society and Queen City Motorcycles followed by lunch at Taft’s Ale House in Over-the Rhine.   Tim Burke, proprietor of the Piston Society http://www.pistonsociety.com  is the local outlet for Zero electronic motorcycles, has rental vehicles available in season and carried a host of vintage café racer style motor clothing and accessories.   Watch for and expanded line of merchandise when they move to a larger location Spring 2018.   Tim is also with the Cincy Café Racers, organizers of the Garage Brewed Moto Show – 4th Annual event coming January 27 2018 at the Rhinegeist Brewery.  (Diehl Insurance will participate as a vendor – stop by to say hello!).  After a short walk we visited Scott Griffith of Queen City Moto.  While they will work on any bike, they’ve become know for the vintage and quirky machine work – the stuff many area shops can’t handle.  The shop has tons of space and will repair customer bikes as well as seeking out motorcycles in need of some love to completely overhaul and resell.  Looking for something interesting?  Give them a try at http://www.cincinnatimotorcyclerepair.com.   It was fun roaming the facility to see the variety of bikes in various stages of restoration.  Lunch is always an opportunity to visit with old friends and make new ones.  The Hunter Stew at Taft’s Ale House was outstanding – and they offer a variety of beers on tap.  Thanks for Kurt Niemeyer for once again organizing the Motoring Society gathering.
